What's the hmm post in aid of? You weren't specifically asking for help.

For your Dell Laptop's Trackpad you probably need to use the following kexts:
  1. VoodooI2C.kext,
  2. VoodooI2CHID.kext and
  3. AlpsHID.kext
Copies of the three kexts are attached.

You probably still require the VoodooPS2Controller.kext for the Keyboard to work. Or maybe just the VoodooPS2Keyboard.kext.

VoodooI2C.kext also contains a copy of VoodooInput.kext so it is not required twice. The mouse and trackpad also in the VoodooPS2Controller Plugins folder don't work with your trackpad, they may be clashing with the AlpsHID.kext.

A standalone copy of the VoodooPS2Keyboard.kext is attached for you to use in place of the VoodooPS2Controller.kext.

Just remember to update your config.plist after changing any kexts in your /OC/Kexts folder. So the new kext and any kexts you have removed have an entry present/or not as required within the config.

Also when changing anything in the OC folder to use the CleanNvram.efi tool to remove any obsolete Nvram entries.
