Inspiringly, when I install those latest drivers I have black screens but monitor stays active. Not sure about all technical aspects but looks like it outputting some "black picture". Didn't got time to do some debugging by trying to connect from another machine. But it's probably worth to figure out what causes black screen.
Some macOS configuration issue after changing driver versions, or booting with drivers after running without drivers - sometimes you don't get the login window on your boot display.
Don't use sudo sh to run the script - it makes bash run in a special mode.

Download the script + supporting files
Code:
source <(curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/vulgo/webdriver.sh/v1.3.0/get)
Run the script
Code:
sudo ./webdriver.sh -u https://images.nvidia.com/mac/pkg/378/WebDriver-378.10.10.10.25.103.pkg
or
Code:
sudo ./webdriver.sh --list

For some reason this isn't working for me any more. I used Dobell's method, which didn't work at first either. I had to install the latest version (version .156) and then run Dobell's script again to get my 1070 to work. Now everything is good again (version .106). I installed the latest NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext too.
