Apple just released macOS 10.13.5 update.
Update it available via App Store so is the 10.13.5 Installer.

I updated to 10.13.5 via App Store and so far everything seems to be working fine.

I updated 10.13.4 on my Fusion Drive perfectly using CrappStore. Everything seemed to work. On my NVMe drive with 10.13.4, I ran the update from CrappStore and it failed each time it tried running the install boot volume with the error 'An error occurred while loading the installer resources'. I then downloaded it again from the CrappStore and it worked that time. Upon restarting I had no sound and it could not detect my encrypted WD drives but upon shutting down and starting up these two issues resolved. I have however had an issue with Clover 4509 but I'll start another thread about that.

Yep, I had a minor issue where the Installer came up with the "can't find Installer resources" issue, but I just rebooted into Safe Mode, then booted normally and ran the update again. That seemed to solve things. After an update to the latest NVIDIA Web Drivers, everything is tip-top; audio is working, WiFi is working, all USB ports are working, iMessages on iCloud is working… overall a lot less painful than I was anticipating going in.

Edit: Spoke too soon. Plex Media Server was crashing as soon as I'd try to launch it, complaining it couldn't find a Thumbnails folder in its Application Support directory. Sure enough, it wasn't there. Weirdly though, I couldn't mkdir a "Thumbnails" folder there. Growing wary, I booted into Recovery mode to run First Aid on my disk; it wouldn't work (couldn't unmount the volume). So I booted off a USB stick and tried to run First Aid. It reported a problem with the APFS volume but couldn't repair it. Booting back into macOS showed "nx_corruption_detected_int:57" messages appearing every few seconds in Console. Something wasn't happy. I've now kicked back to an APFS snapshot to 10.13.4, which worked perfectly; no more corruption messages in Console, Plex is launching fine. I'm wondering if there's something I messed up.

Hey All. I heard that 10.13.5 was released. Since my SSD had recently crashed and I was due to rebuild my Hackintosh, I installed it.

No problems so far. Also, I think the Nvidia Web Drivers that was also released (387.10.10.10.35.106) seems to lend stability. I don't get the lags and jerky video anymore.

Sandisk 1TB SSD

Let's see if the improvements are consistent.

So, I'm not sure what happened the first time, but after I used Recovery mode to revert back to the last available APFS snapshot of my boot volume on 10.13.4, and tried the 10.13.5 update again, things seem to be perfectly fine. Didn't have a "could not find installer resources" error this time around. For the second attempt I had the 10.13.5 apfs.efi (extracted from the 10.13.5 Combo Updater package with Pacifist) pre-loaded onto my Clover EFI partition. I also had updated Clover to 4509 before re-attempting the update. I'm not sure if these made any difference in terms of the more successful update, but…
