I am trying to get my first Hackintosh build up and running but I am running into an install issue. I run clover and try to install Mac os Mojave and it look promising when the apple logo pops up on the screen but then I don't see a progress bar ever show up.

I also followed this guide for my bios settings https://hackintosher.com/builds/asus-z170-pro-skylake-hackintosh/

CPU: intel i5 6600k
Mobo: Asus Z170-A
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 770
16GB corsair ram
Nvme ssd

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

I tried replacing my config file with the one from the guide I linked to in my first post and this allowed me to get a progress bar but now it gets about 3/4 of the way through and then my display loses signal (i tried moving my mouse and pressing keys on the keyboard to see if it went to sleep for some reason). Also I just noticed that my gpu's fans stop spinning immediately after my screen goes black.

Attached is my new clover file.

I have had a look at your CLOVER folder and made a number of changes, which I hope will better suit your system. I have based the information on the specification for your motherboard - https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z170-A/specifications/ and i5-6600K CPU.

I have changed the following:
  • Deleted the unnecessary numbered OSX folders from /EFI/CLOVER/kexts, leaving just the Other folder.
  • Updated and added/changed the kexts in the /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other folder.
  • Added SSDT-XOSI to /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/Patched, so macOS better understands how to deal with your system.
  • I have made the following changes to your config.plist:
    • Added a number of common DSDT & SSDT rename patches
    • Added three commonDSDT fixes - FixShutdown, DeleteUnused and FixRegions
    • Deselected the Generate options, leaving just Plugin Type=true
    • Selected PluginType=1
    • Selected ACPI fixes, AutoMerge, FixHeaders and Halt Enabler
    • Added -v and darkwake=10 boot arguments
    • Deselected '-1' boot option
    • Selected Timeout=5 and NeverHibernate=true
    • Added Fake ID for IntelGFX=0x19128086
    • Added Device 'Properties' for your Skylake Intel Graphics
    • Enabled mouse options
    • Enabled Scan Custom 'Entries=true and Tool=true'
    • Added four common Hide Volume names
    • Changed ig-platform-id=0x19120001 to better match your CPU graphics
    • Deleted the obsolete USB port Limit patches for 10.12.x and 10.13.x
    • Added the three USB port Limit patches for 10.14.4
    • Changed the MLB to match your new smbios serial board number
    • Generated a new ROM
    • Updated you smbios to iMac 17.1, with new Serial Number that has been checked at EveryMac and Apple Support.
    • Changed Inject Kexts= Yes to Inject Kexts=Detect
    • Unselected NvidiaWeb=true (Nvidia Webdrivers do not work in Mojave).
The amended CLOVER folder should be used in place of your current one, simply replace the whole folder.

Let me know how you got on with the amended CLOVER folder.
