Post a copy of your CLOVER folder so we can see what you are using to boot the system.

First off here is a link to the specification for your Motherboard - https://www.gigabyte.com/uk/Motherboard/Z370M-D3H-rev-10#sp. In the future if you are creating another Hackintosh system this should be the first place you look for information about your board and which kexts etc. you will need.

I have attached a revised CLOVER folder for your system. I have made the following changes:
  • Added SSDT-XOSI to /CLOVER/ACPI/Patched
  • Removed and added a number of drivers to/from /CLOVER/driver64UEFI folder
  • Deleted the numbered OSX folders from /CLOVER/kexts, leaving just the Other folder
  • Changed the kexts in your /CLOVER/kexts/Other folder to suit your system
  • Deleted some unnecessary theme files, leaving the tonymacx86 theme, as that is the one called by your config.plist.
  • Revised your config.plist, as follows:
    • Added a number of DSDT rename patches and fixes
    • Added Plugin Type=1 and generate PluginType
    • Added ACPI fixes
    • Added a number of boot arguments
    • Changed Boot option to TimeOut with 5 second delay to automatic boot
    • Deleted 'Debug' option
    • Added 'NeverHibernate' option
    • Added USB options]Added Audio options and Inject LayoutID =7 for your ALC892 Audio codec
    • Added Mouse option
    • Removed Legacy Boot options
    • Added two Hide Volume common names
    • Added Enable Trim for SSD
    • Changed USB port Limit patch to PM Heart's version
    • Disabled SIP
    • Added ROM & MLB serials
    • Updated your iMac 18.3 smbios, checking the serial number with Apple Support so there should be no conflict when using iMessage, iCloud etc.
    • Changed Inject Kexts to 'Yes' from 'Detect'
Hope this works for you. Let me know how you get on with using this folder in place of the CLOVER folder on your USB install drive. Just replace the existing folder with this one.

I am running High Sierra on my main hack iMac1 in my signature. I have just checked the apfs file that loads for my hack, it is attached below. It is stored in /System/Library/Filesystems folder.

When booting macOS from a USB installation drive I don't have the APFS.kext installed to /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI folder. Instead I have ApfsDriverLoader-64.efi in this folder, this driver loads the installed APFS driver from /System/Library/Filesystems.

The one I am using is actually an older version than your apfs file, v 748.51.0 dated 16 March 2018, but it works perfectly for my system with my APFS formatted SSD's.

Try using this apfs.fs file in place of your current one.

Does that mean one of your components is not working correctly?

Which i7 & MSI motherboard is the config working correctly with?

Actually i installed it in two different cpus and it worked perfectly without any tweaks. The first one is. I7 -8700k, Mobo- Gigabyte z390 Aorus Pro, with 8 gigs of ram & 2gb geforce gtx 610 and another one is Msi Z79Gaming 3 with I7-7700k with 16 gigs of ram & zotac 750 ti 2gb.

Well that tells you the CLOVER folder is working correctly.

To me it is more likely that one of the components in the problematic hack is defective or incorrectly setup for macOS.

I would suggest the following:
  • Strip out any thing that is not essential from the problematic Hack.
  • Use only one Memory module if you have more than one.
  • Check that the system works, with the single memory DIMM in all the slots use a Ubuntu Live Distro on a USB stick to check that the CPU, memory etc. are not defective.
Check your Bios settings:
  1. Initial Action
    • Load Optimized Defaults
      • Selecting this will make things easier so you have to change as few settings as possible.
  2. Chipset
    • Vt-d : Disabled
    • Internal Graphics : Enabled
    • DVMT Pre-Alloc : 96M
    • Above 4G Decoding : Enabled
    • Wake on LAN Enable : Disabled
  3. Peripherals
    • USB Configuration
      • Legacy USB Support : Enabled
      • XHCI Hand-off : Enabled
    • Network Stack Configuration
      • Network Stack → Disabled
  4. Boot
    • Set disk mode to AHCI
    • Set System Drive as 1st boot disk
    • Windows 8/10 Features : Other OS
    • CSM Support : Disabled
  5. M.I.T.
    • Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.P.) : Disabled (your choice if you want to change this to Profile 1 at a later date)
  6. Save & Exit
    • Save and Exit or F10 to save BIOS settings
See if these troubleshooting actions helps.
