Your motherboard uses an Intel 1GB Ethernet controller. So try adding IntelMausi.kext to your bootloader‘s kext folder.
Here is what I did. But I can't make it work still.

Copy the IntelMausi.kext to EFI\OC\kexts
Open propertree, take a snapshot of my efi folder and save the config.plist.
Reinstall Catalina.

The installation went through w/o any problem. But there is no network adapter shown in system preferences\network.

Did I miss anything?

Thanks.

Did you check in System Information under Ethernet to see what it shows?

Did you try adding the Ethernet device manually in System Preferences > Network pane?

In the system information, it says ther is no ethernet card installed.

in the network pane, when I tried to add a card. It gave me an error saying there is no card.

DigiAU, attached is my last Catalina EFI folder for Gigabyte Z490. Back up your EFI from the disk you are booting from. If you have a fixed UHD630 graphics working, edit my file/folder with that fix, save and try booting with it.

Also make sure to add your own MLB, SN and UUID under platform info.

***EDIT: since others may need it, attached files for Catalina added to main guide DOWNLOAD HERE.

OMG, IT WORKED !!! What a magic.

I see you are using iMac19.1 instead of 20.1. I don't know what other differences are.

Thank you very, very much for your help. Much appreciated.

Cheers.

19.1 was good for Catalina as far as this motherboard. I never got 20,1 to boot until OpenCore 0.6.5 (I think it was). Anyway, you can now have a working base if you choose to update OpenCore.

Also note (as I forgot to remove it) there is a kext called "AHCI_3rdParty_SATA.kext". This is for 3rd party optical drive support that I sometimes attach in my rig to burn DVDs.

Congratulations! and by the way, if you have the onboard graphics working, can you share the fix? (upload your EFI if possible). Thanks

I compared mine with yours and have all of my USB ports working (front and back). No, I can't install Catalina with iGPU. I put a 580TX into my system and it works. I leave it as headless but not sure if it's working or not. Is there anyway to tell?

Thanks again for your help.

OK... I thought you went with a dedicated video card. I never bothered with iGPU as I don't know anyone who was able to make it work when I researched and built this last summer.

Big Sur 11.2.2 update through system preferences without issue.

UPDATE: Since a lot of people had been downloading the EFI for Catalina, I have made some edits to the guide to re-instate specific instructions for macOS Catalina where needed.

There are only two IMPORTANT differences for success with Catalina (different from Big Sur)...
  1. If your installing Catalina pay close attention to the section on creating the installer especially the need to delete the Installlnfo.plist file from the Catalina installer app.
  2. For Catalina the SMBIOS must be iMac19,1
I have updated the OpenCore EFI download to include a config file specific to Catalina (see attachment in 1st post). Catalina users will have to replace the config.plist in the EFI/OC folder with the Catalina config file.

**Remember to edit the config.plist and put in your own MLB, SystemSerialNumber and SystemUUID.

Hello,

I configured my own EFI, but I got Problems with kernel panics. After I copied you EFI my Computer booted normally, but my GTX TItan only displays on one of my Cinema HD (30 inch) Displays. Do you have any clue what could be the Problem?

Thanks for this thread

HackG521, I am not familiar with running NVIDIA for macOS Catalina and above. Maybe Edhawk can be of help on that.

Did you add nvda_drv=1 to the boot-arg in my file?

I'm running Big Sur. The Titan does normally work OOB without drivers.

What dose the System Information say under Graphics/Displays?
Dose it show the card name or just "Nvidia Chip Set"... also is it showing VRAM or is it 0mb?

@HackG521 Post a copy of your OC folder so we can see what you are using. Redact or delete your Serial Number, MLB, ROM and UUID in the copy.

Can you also provide a copy of your IOReg. Read and follow this guide to obtain a viable copy of your system IOReg - https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-how-to-make-a-copy-of-ioreg.58368/

Which output connections are you using with the Titan dGPU, DisplayPort, DVI or HDMI?

Have you tried swapping to another cable and connection type from the Titan?
