Here are a pair of screenshots showing the framebuffers that can be used with a Coffee Lake (CFL) or Comet Lake (CML) IGPU.

Screenshot 2021-10-29 at 16.03.16.png List of CFL & CML Framebuffers and usage.

Screenshot 2021-10-29 at 16.07.54.png IGPU device id's and recommended Framebuffers

Your Comet Lake IGPU may work better with this framebuffer - 0x3E9B0007 (07009B3E), as you are not using a discrete graphics card in your system. It it the only Desktop framebuffer that is used to drive a display. All the other Desktop Framebuffers are for use with a discrete graphics card.

The framebuffer you are using - 0x3E920000 (0000923E) is generally used with a laptop/mobile system not a desktop system, or when having issues with the recommended framebuffer.

Your UHD 630 IGPU has one of these device ID's - 0x9BC8 / 0x9BC5, according to Intel Ark spec sheet - https://ark.intel.com/content/www/u...10400-processor-12m-cache-up-to-4-30-ghz.html

The framebuffers for an IGPU with either of these ID's are highlighted at the bottom of the first screenshot above and both are expected to be used with a discrete GPU, i.e. a Headless/Empty framebuffer.

First of all thank you for the support!
This is my last try and as you can see i set the framebuffer 07009B3E, but no luck! :(

You don't need or use all those framebuffer-con entries. Your motherboard only has one built-in display output, a HDMI connector.

As highlighted on the screenshot below.

So the framebuffer-con1 entries in your config.plist can be deleted, as they are for a DisplayPort connector and the framebuffer-con2 entries are missing the entry that sets the connector type.

Based on this you may be have more joy with either of these two framebuffers:

0x3E9B0006 - 06009B3E
0x3E9B0008 - 06009B3E

Both framebuffers support only a single connector for the UHD 630 IGPU with 1536MB VRAM.

You would need to retain and use the framebuffer-con0 entries, to set the connector as HDMI.

Notice Updated Guide Oct 30, 2021

Today I have completely updated and revised the guide (1st post).
  • I took out unnecessary sections and shortened the guide to make it as simple as it can be.
  • I have changed in the title to include only Monterey/Big Sur and dropped Catalina as I do not test for nor run Catalina any longer. You can still get help here with Catalina if you like.
  • I also took out the USB Port mapping section and opted to stick a section at the end regarding information as to the mapping on the Gigabyte Gaming X motherboard. I think most people here are satisfied with the mapping I provide which only kills the two USB 2.x ports on the back IO. There are other "How to" USB port mapping guides on this site and elsewhere that cover it in more detail. Personally I used TechNolli's EASY USB Port Mapping guide on youtube.
Other thoughts... I am a year plus into this build and I just spent the morning doing cable management again. :)

@Railgun Your setup looks very nice.

It is a small update, but the F21a BIOS works fine on my system.

In other news, I am really looking forward to updating to OpenCore 0.7.5 and the ability to set Resize BAR. I'm not expecting a huge leap in performance, but just a small increase would be appreciated.

Thanks John. Here is OpenCore 0.7.5

Updated to OpenCore v0.7.5 (download new attached EFI from first post).

OpenCore 0.7.5 Release Notes: https://github.com/acidanthera/OpenCorePkg/releases

My EFI release notes:
  1. All the kext are up to date.
  2. USBPorts.kext (port mapping) holds.
  3. Theme is set to Acidanthera\GoldenGate.
  4. You need to Edit the config.plist and replace the MLB, SystemSerialNumber and SystemUUID under platforminfo with your own. There is temporary info already in the file so it can boot.
  5. Use iMac20,1 SMBIOS for Big Sur/Monterey.
  6. Intel Core i9 10900 use iMac20,2 SMBIOS.
*Tested on Big Sur and Monterey. (y)

** Nov 10, 2021. If you are using a Samsung NVMe with Monterey, there are reports of very slow boot times due to how the drive handles Trim. I have not tested this. I am still using Big Sur and only have Monterey OS on a test hard disk drive.
