Hi, like the post of tilex05... I'm thinking to upgrade a working machine Asrock Z270-itx with only a i7-6700 Skylake.
Just cloned the disk to another SSD. So I can work making try... Please any idea Edhawk? Many thanks... I need Z270 and not Z370 because I need dual boot (2 different SSD, switching from bios) with Windows 7-64 that is still supported on Z270+Skylake and not Z370+Kabylake...

You need to create (using Corpnewt's SSDTTime script) or add some SSDT's so your system will run macOS Catalina or Big Sur.

These SSDT's are essential for a Skylake:
  • SSDT-EC-USBX.aml, and
  • SSDT-PLUG.aml
The same SSDT's work for a Kaby Lake system.

A Coffee Lake system requires a couple of additional SSDT's:
  • SSDT-AWAC.aml, and
  • SSDT-PMC.aml
Dual booting is the same as before.
