DVI is an analog input and not supported on macOS when outputting through integrated graphics, but may work with a dedicated graphics card.

Also OSX wont allow you to connect DVI and HDMI at the same time.

If the DVI connection is on the display you may be able to use an adapter to get it working.

However if you have to use the DVI connection the motherboard you're out of luck

Very cool you've created this forum. I was able to build my GA-Z70X Ultra Gaming straight off you build instructions, first time out.

I'l be doing some other builds shortly, so let me know if I can be of any help. I'm going to mess around with the RX560 3-display issue I saw on another post today, and I'll let you know what I find.

Thanks anything you can do to help other people would be great.

I actually got my RX 560 working with three displays, so I think that guy's problem might have to do with the fact hes using a prebuilt Dell.

After the black screen appears try unplugging the DVI connection and plugging it back in. It sounds like you need to define your ports in config.plist under Graphics, but like I said you are using the iGPU to power your display and using digital + analog on an iGPU can cause issues like this.

I had DVI + HDMI working on my old system and my current system with Sierra. So it doesn't work any more with High Sierra? That would explain why HDMI isn't working on my current hackintosh. I'm using a DisplayPort to DVI adapter for my display.

I was getting a lot of DVI questions do I went out and bought a DVI to HDMI adapter and was able to get a DVI + HDMI + DP triple monitor display working at the same time so I stand corrected. You can use DVI and HDMI at the same time as long as it's over a graphics card and not iGPU.

I have a Gigabyte Z370N that comes with two HDMI ports, i've also used the HDMI port on graphics cards and they all work fine, so I think your problem is being caused by something else.

^^ yeah I think it might work with a DP to HDMI + another HDMI. Getting a dedicated GPU will fix my problem so I can disable IGPU alltogether.

Well you wouldn't want to disable it entirely so you can keep Encoding & HEVC support.

Oh I lose that if I use only NVidia? :poop: Well I guess there is no harm in having IGPU enabled.

So I actually looked into this a little more and for the iGPU to get multi display working with high resolution monitors you have to boot with only one monitor plugged in and then plug in the other one once you are logged in.

Hey guys :)
I'm new to this forum but not to the hackintosh scene. It's a very neat site and I would be happy to be a part of it :)

I will be trying to help solve the problems that I can and let's have some fun and learn from each other.

Cheers.
