Get Coffee Lake UHD 630 iGPU acceleration in Sierra 10.12.x

Coffee Lake UHD 630 iGPU has native support baked in High Sierra, but what about getting graphic acceleration with Coffee Lake on macOS Sierra?

For those of you who are still using Sierra for whatever reason you can make use of the UHD 630 iGPU on your Coffee Lake Hackintosh. All you have to do is spoof a Kaby Lae HD 630 iGPU.

Sleep works on Sierra 10.12.6 with Coffee Lake’s UHD 630 iGPU, which is interesting since Kaby Lake’s HD 630 and Sky Lake’s HD 530 never worked.

Supported:

  • i3-8100, i3-8350k, i5-8400, i5-8600k, i7-8700, i7-8700k

Required Kexts:

  • Download the most recent version of FAKEPCIID
  • Unzip RehabMan-FakePCIID folder
  • Copy FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext from the Release folder of Rehabman-FAKEPCIID
  • Paste FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other
  • Download the latest RELEASE.zip of Shiki.kext
  • Copy & Paste Shiki.kext into EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other
  • Download the latest RELEASE.zip of Lilu.kext
  • Copy & Paste Lilu.kext into EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other
  • Download the most recent version of IntelGraphicsFixup.kext
  • Paste IntelGraphicsFixup.kext into EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other

config.plist Spoof:

The Kaby Lake spoof can only be used on Sierra 10.12.6. If you are using Sierra 10.12.5 or earlier use Option 2 Skylake Spoof under it. The trick is to use the laptop IntelGFX for FakeID since the 0x59128086 ID doesn’t work.

Option 1.  KabyLake Spoof (Sierra 10.12.6)

  1. Navigate to EFI/CLOVER/
  2. Open config.plist with Clover Configurator
  3. Select Boot on left-side column
  4. Under Custom flags add:
    shikigva=1
  5. Select Devices on left-side column
  6. Set IntelGFX box to: 0x59168086
  7. Select Graphics on left-side column
  8. Set ig-platform-id to: 0x59120000
  9. Save config.plist
  10. Restart Hackintosh

Option 2.  Skylake Spoof (Sierra 10.12.0 – 10.12.5)

  1. Navigate to EFI/CLOVER/
  2. Open config.plist with Clover Configurator
  3. Select Boot on left-side column
  4. Under Custom flags add:shikigva=1
  5. Select Devices on left-side column
  6. Set IntelGFX box to: 0x19128086
  7. Select Graphics on left-side column
  8. Set ig-platform-id to: 0x19120000
  9. Save config.plist
  10. Restart Hackintosh

I haven’t been able to get this to work on an Asus Prime-P Motherboard with an i5-8600k. I have an MSI 1050 ti and I have used dgpu flawlessly but I am wanting to enable the UHD igpu on sierra

Hey hackintosher! You got some good guides, but they seem a bit conflicting. At least I can’t get my graphics to work.

Do you have a guide for the native i7-8700k UHD630 support? I have been searching everywhere for a guide, but nothing seems to work. I’ve tried multibeast, which partly works (can’t play video or use FaceBook), I’ve tried vanilla (works but looks like VESA graphics, and theres tearing and lagginess) and I’ve tried your instructions from the “install 10.13.2 hackintosh guide”. Doesn’t work.

I’ve got the ASrock z370 fatal1ty gaming ITX/ac motherboard with i7-8700k CPU.
