Hackintosh Integrated Graphics (iGPU) HDMI Audio Guide

There’s a number of methods that can be used to get hackintosh HDMI audio over integrated graphics working. I’ve been asked a couple times how to get it working and this is the method I use:

Method 1 – Hackintosh HDMI

To me this is the simplest method to get HDMI audio working on a hackintosh. All you have to do is check a tiny almost hidden option in Clover Configurator. I’ve tested this method both on Coffee Lake and Kaby Lake and it works.

  1. Open Clover Configurator
  2. Select Mount EFI under TOOLS
  3. Click Mount Partition for Install macOS….
  4. Click Open Partition
  5. Navigate to EFI/CLOVER/
  6. Open config.plist with Clover Configurator
  7. Select Devices on the left column
  8. Check UseIntelHDMI located in the upper right shadowbox:
  9. Restart Hackintosh

I’ll add more methods later on for those still having trouble.

I did a clean install following directions and files from the site, and when I do this, nothing is showing up for my HDMI in Sound. I am running a intel 6700k with an MSI Z170A Tomahawk Board. Any suggestions? this has the built in Intel HD 530 chip

Make sure you also have checked Inject Intel under the Graphics tab.
